Profile:
I have worked as a curator specializing in decorative art since 2004. During my career I have had the opportunity to work on numerous exhibitions, acquisitions and commissions of contemporary ceramics. This included assisting Andrew Renton with exhibitions of work by Elizabeth Fritsch and Julian Stair at National Museum Cardiff.
In 2014, I co-curated the major contemporary ceramics exhibition, Fragile?, at the same venue. I have worked for Leeds Museums and Galleries since December 2015 and am based at Temple Newsam House, but have a broader responsibility for decorative art and contemporary craft across the service.
I am particularly excited about the prospect of working with artists within the setting of a magnificent country house and looking for opportunities to develop the contemporary ceramics collection. I am a member of several professional committees, including this Studio Ceramics SSN, the Museums Association’s Ethics Committee (to July 2017) and am Chair of the Society of Decorative Art Curators.
