CALL FOR CERAMIC ARTISTS – ECAlab & RIBA North

Bring your unique ceramic skills to a collaborative project for an exhibition organised by ECAlab at the RIBA North.

We are looking to collaborate with ceramicists, ceramic artists, and studio potters in the development of an exciting new exhibition, Moulding Futures, which will be held at the RIBA North during September-December 2017.

We are seeking individuals with a proven track record of delivering bespoke and highly crafted ceramic pieces, showing a strong personal signature style, to offer their creative proposals to a design challenge.

ECAlab (Environmental Ceramics for Architecture Laboratory) brings together ceramicists, architects, engineers, academics, manufacturers and leading professionals to explore the possibilities of ceramics in light control for architecture. We embrace the role of emerging digital technologies while working alongside ceramicists to explore the interpretative possibilities of traditional craft skills in contemporary architectural production. Since 2011, our work and ceramic prototypes have been presented, published and exhibited internationally.

Collaboration, and working with a wide range of ceramic practitioners, is central to our philosophy and projects. If you would like to know more and you are interested in applying, please fill out our collaboration form. We are always looking for new collaborations, so if this exhibition’s timescale does not work with your current commitments, please get in touch with us.
